The BBO played a special and emotional end of month concert in celebration and memory of Peter Mayhew.
Two of Peter’s own trombones were played last night, by Hilary Spiers and Bill Skelton. Not all the right notes though had been left in them!
Our MD, Bill, put a great programme together for Peter, with some lovely trombone features including Who’s Sorry Now – Toby Gucklhorn and Berkely Square – Bill Skelton. The evening raised just over £440 for the Blind Veterans Organisation who supported Peter and our thanks go to our very loyal and wonderful audience who have taken the total raised for good causes over £346,000.
It was a truly special evening for the band – thank you all!
